The significance of
milk and honey as types of Christ is that two distinct aspects of
Christ’s Life – the generating life and the redeeming life – are
necessary to produce these rich experiences. As we experience Christ
as our redeeming and generating life, we begin to sense the richness
and sweetness of His nourishing life. We thus begin to experience
